Introduction To Chlorella

AA_SuperfoodChlorella is a green algae. The name Chlorella derives from two Latin words meaning 'leaf' and 'small', referring to the unusually high content of chlorophyll, the highest of any known plant, which gives Chlorella its characteristic deep emerald-green color. Algae are a group of one-celled plants, containing no true root, stem or leaf. This particular fresh water, single celled microscopic plant contains a host of health building nutrients. In addition to chlorophyll it contains vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, nucleic acids, amino acids, enzymes, Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF) and other substances. Under the favorable growth conditions of strong sunlight, pure water and clean air, Chlorella multiplies at an incredible rate, the complete reproduction cycle taking less than 24 hours. Chlorella has been more thoroughly researched than perhaps any other food in history.

What Is In Chlorella ?

It is a nutrient-dense superfood that contains 60% protein, 18 amino acids (including all the essential amino acids), and various vitamins and minerals. One of its unique properties is a phytonutrient called CGF. Chlorella provides all of the dietary-essential amino acids in excellent ratios. It is also a reliable source of essential fatty acids that are required for many important biochemical functions, including hormone balance. Chlorella also contains high levels of chlorophyll, beta-carotene and RNA/DNA. More than 20 vitamins and minerals are found in chlorella, including iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, pro-vitamin A, vitamins C, B1, B2, B2, B5, B6, B12, E and K, biotin, inositol, folic acid, plus vitamins C, E and K.

Chlorella Growth Factor

Chlorella has a number of properties which are helpful to organs and tissues that have been injured by a variety of causes. It has been shown to promote liver health and has the ability to put body functions that are out of balance back in harmony. Although some positive effects of taking Chlorella may be felt immediately, Chlorella's full nutritive and detoxifying prowess will take up to 6 months to be fully appreciated. Chlorella belongs to a very small, yet powerful group of foods known as Nutriceuticals, Spirulena is also a Nutriceutical. Chlorella promotes growth in young people, an ability which is believed to be related to Chlorella's capacity to stimulate the healing process in the body and stifle many diseases. This is most likely related to its nucleic acid content because substances in Chlorella that accelerate growth in young people promote repair of damaged tissue in mature animals and humans.Chlorella has a strengthening effect on body cells by strengthening our metabolic pathways. Chlorella has an abundance of RNA & DNA that are associated with anti-aging.

Alkalising

Because of our poor diet of junk food, fast food, over cooked, processed foods, especially soft drinks, which have a pH of 2.7 when we should ideally have a pH of about 7.2-7.4. This is several thousand times more acidic than our bodies. This is important because all diseases start and live and thrive in an acidic environment and do not live well in an alkaline environment . Also see ' Alkalising '.

Digesting Chlorella

The fibrous materials in Chlorella will also improve digestion and promote the growth of beneficial aerobic bacteria in the stomach. Chlorella growth factor improves resistance to abdominal tumors while increasing the number of immune cells in the abdominal cavity. Chlorella Growth Factor, unique to Chlorella, causes the benign lactobacillus, which is crucial to digestion to multiply at four times the normal rate and also accelerates the re-growth of damaged tissue. Chlorella contains enzymes such as chlorophyllase and pepsin, which are digestive enzymes. Enzymes perform a myriad of functions in the body (as long as it's not freeze dried or pasteurized.

Heart

Chlorella helps guard against heart disease, reduce high blood pressure and lower serum cholesterol levels. Chlorophyll has a magnesium molecule at that center of it; hemoglobin has an iron molecule at the center of it. This is important because magnesium is essential for the heart to function properly. Every time our heart beats, it is utilizing magnesium to do so

Detoxification & Heavy Metals Removal

Chlorella is now used as an adjunct supplement during radiation treatment for cancer. Its abundance of chlorophyll is known to protect the body against ultraviolet radiation. Chlorella has a tough indigestible cell wall, which detoxifies the body by binding with heavy metals as it passes through. It is the fibrous material that has been proven to actually bind with heavy metals and other synthetics that have accumulated in our bodies. The entire cleansing of the blood and organs will begin to happen after a period of up to 6 months depending on the dosage taken.

Adding To Foods

In bread: A little trick I use when baking bread is to add Chlorella extract to the dough before yeast fermentation, the visual appearance and flavor of the loaf is enhanced while keeping the bread fresher for a longer period. Chlorella can also be added to wine, cakes, cookies, cheese, ice cream, mayonnaise, pasta and rice to enhance flavor and nutritive value.

Recommended Daily Dosage

A: Maintenance Dose for a 'normally healthy ' person : 3-5 grams/day.

B: If you are using it to replace other sources of protein (such as meat) t: 6-10 grams/day.

C: If you are completely replacing all other protein sourcesn: 12-19 grams/day.

D: If your immune system is compremised and you are using it as an Immune System Builder: 11-14 grams/day

E: If you are recovering from physical trauma or surgery: 20-30 grams/day.

F: Heavy Metal Detoxification: 20-30 grams/day.

Always remember these FACTS:

A: Use before a meal to aid with digestion.

B: Chlorella is a Raw Whole Food and a Superfood.

C: You can NOT eat too much/ overdose.
