What or who is “Willothewisp.org” ?

We are four Dutch women bound by marriage, blood and friendship into a sisterhood of sorts. We are all four of strong will and opinions, who share common interests in many things. Through these common interests we set up Willothewisp.org as a place to pool our knowledge, record it and share it

I think the first thing to get out of the way is the fact that we are all lesbian. Here in Holland this is neither here nor there, but it seems to make a difference to some of the less enlightened peoples of the world for some reason

My name is Tyjardia and I am married (gay marriage has been legal here in Holland for some time) to my wife Nonke. Nonke and I have two children, both boys and now we are currently considering adopting or fostering an additional child. I am a medical doctor by training, and though these days I largely teach I do also have a limited practice. My wife Nonke is an educational psychologist and specializes in children with learning and physical disabilities.

The other two members of our little group are my cousin Judith and her lovely wife Nina (yes, another married lesbian couple). Nina and Judith have two delightful adopted children, both of whom have disabilities. Nina is currently pregnant with their third child. Nina is a nurse/midwife so you could say she is well qualified to birth their baby. Judith is qualified as both a medical radiographer and a physiologist. While she is now largely a stay-at-home mum she works from home and is also rapidly becoming something of a writer (as you will see). Despite some small disabilities she does not believe in letting anything stand in the way of leading life to it’s fullest.

The objectives of our web sites is to;

  1. Provide information and education about Holland.
  2. To raise awareness about good health, provoking thought and in doing so expose some currently common health practices to some criticism’.
  3. Air some Women’s Health issues.
  4. Raise awareness of the continuing abuse of women and women’s rights.
